The Family Behind Waste On Wheels

Most dumpster companies start with a truck and a plan. This one started with a family that needed dumpsters so often they finally bought their own.

It Started With Four Dumpsters and Fifty Rentals

Logan's dad rents out property around this part of North Carolina, and anyone who's run even one rental knows what that means: something is always under construction. A house at a time, year round, every project throwing off debris that needed somewhere to go. Renting dumpsters over and over made less sense than owning them, so in December 2023 he bought a truck and four dumpsters just to service his own jobs.

Logan had been managing those properties, which is its own education in what makes a job site run: the sub who shows up when promised is worth two who don't, and the same goes for the dumpster. In January 2024 she took the truck and the four dumpsters and started running them as a business. Two years later it's 30 dumpsters working across seven counties, and the number on the website still rings her cell.

Named at the Kitchen Table

The company's first name didn't work; it had nothing to do with dumpsters and nobody could remember it. So the whole family, mom, dad, brother, sister, sat down in the office and threw names around until Logan's sister landed on Waste On Wheels. "No Time to Waste" came out of the same meeting. The sister isn't in the business, but every truck that rolls out of the yard carries her line on the door.

How Logan Runs It

The pricing philosophy comes straight from being on the customer's side of the industry for years. When you've rented as many dumpsters as this family has, you've been hit by every add-on fee there is, the quote that keeps growing by invoice time. So Logan quotes one total up front, and it includes delivery, pickup, and the dump fee. The extras that exist get named before you book instead of discovered later: overage billed per ton past the included weight, a flat per-day rate for extra days, and a small per-mattress fee the transfer stations charge, passed straight through. The pricing page walks through how it works.

The rest is structure for how people actually order. Homeowners get 7-day rentals and a phone that answers from 6am to 9pm. Contractors, the company's biggest repeat customers, get two-week terms and text-in ordering, because that's how crews work. Deliveries aim for inside 24 hours. Every dumpster has a painted max fill line so nobody guesses. And the business is licensed and insured, which in this industry is worth saying out loud.

Where We Work

We work out of two yards: the commercial yard at 780 Landmark Road in Willow Spring on the west end, and a second yard in Kenly on the east. Between them we cover seven counties, from Raleigh and Cary down through Fuquay-Varina, Clayton, and Dunn, then east through Wilson and Goldsboro out to Greenville. Every one of them gets one quoted total, and the map covers all 69 towns we run.
